The Greater Lincolnshire inward investment teams, who have come together to showcase investment opportunities within the region, have been recognised as Sustainability Champions at UKREiiF.

The three-day event, which is being held in the Royal Armouries, Leeds between 21st – 23rd May, had a mandatory sustainability pledge which all exhibitors had to sign up to. Additionally, there was an opportunity for those who had gone above and beyond to meet a higher criteria to become a Sustainability Champion, which we are delighted to announce the Greater Lincolnshire Pavilion exceeded.

Best practice included; no single use plastic, reduced use of printed materials opting for QR codes where possible, use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials in the design and build of the pavilion and ensuring car sharing was utilised too and from the event. Recyclable & compostable cups will be used for the coffee station which is being operated by Team Lincolnshire ambassador Stokes Tea & Coffee who were recently awarded B-Corp status. Stokes as a business is leading the way in sustainability and already repurpose used coffee grinds and the coffee station used in the Greater Lincolnshire Pavilion has been constructed from used shipping crates.

The event will bring together the public sector, with every core UK city and region involved, alongside Government, investors, funders, developers, housebuilders and more.

Tony Reynolds, Inward Investment Manager at Lincolnshire County Council said,

“We are delighted that the investment teams across Greater Lincolnshire are coming together at UKREiiF to showcase the excellent investment opportunities that exist in many varying sectors.

“There is real diversity in the opportunities from Low Carbon energy and Agri Food to Agri Tech and Defence. Being an official partner at UKREiiF is a great platform for building our message to investors and we look forward to meeting people at the Greater Lincolnshire Pavilion.”

Greater Lincolnshire will also be holding two speaker sessions on Tuesday 21st May in the Midlands Engine Partnership Pavilion:
