Greater Lincolnshire leads in the Agrifood and Low Carbon Energy sectors. Join us as we discuss some of the hottest topics surrounding Food & Energy.

We will hear from industry experts as they discuss and debate two key sectors within Greater Lincolnshire and what the future looks like.

The two sessions will run consecutively and delegates are free to attend on a first come first served basis. See you there!

Lincolnshire: Feeding the UK - 10.45am - 11.45am

Greater Lincolnshire’s Food Valley is becoming increasingly important within the nation’s food security strategy. Hear from sector leaders on the investment and development opportunities coming forward and how the region is helping us all to grow.

This session will be moderated by Alison Hands, CEO Lincolnshire Co-op and panellists currently confirmed are Mike Berthet, Director Aquacultured Seafood

Energy in the UK – How Lincolnshire are at the Forefront of the Low Carbon Energy Sector - 12.30pm - 1.30pm

How will energy generation and usage look like in 15-20 years? This session will explore the pioneering ways Lincolnshire is supporting the UK and the opportunities within the region.

This session will be moderated by Simon Green, CEO Humber Freeport and panellists include; Stuart Piccaver, Chief Executive JEPCO Ltd, Katie Hedges, Director of Low Carbon Strategy CATCH & Vicky Limbrick, Energy Manager Balfour Beatty

Alison Hands, CEO Lincolnshire Co-op Bio

Alison is the Chief Executive Officer of Lincolnshire Co-op and took up her role in April 2023.  She has over 34 years’ experience in a diverse mix of retail environments, including Marks & Spencer, The Body Shop, Walgreens Boots Alliance and Wilkinsons. Alison has a passion for purpose driven activity, and has spent much of her career focusing on how business can support broader delivery for good, most recently as a trustee of Nottingham Forest in the Community, delivering improved health outcomes through the power of sport and a heritage brand.  Alison is married, with two adult sons, and spends her time between Lincolnshire and Worcestershire, where she likes to go on long walks with her dog.

Simon Green, CEO Humber Freeport Bio

Simon brings over 30 years' experience within the field of development and corporate governance to the Humber Freeport. He has worked for both public and private sector organisations throughout the midlands, the north and abroad and has overseen major projects including mixed use, housing, transport, energy and higher education.

More recently he has taken on corporate culture and governance roles and throughout his career has striven to build alignment and partnership working as the bedrock of achievement.
