Charity Golf Day

Five Team Lincolnshire Ambassadors supported the tenth CAPS Charity Golf Day which raised £11,000 for Nottingham Women’s Centre.

Members of the Midlands construction and property community took part in the event at Radcliffe-on-Trent Golf Club which was organised by Blueprint Interiors and Gleeds.

Twenty-two teams competed and audio-visual company TecInteractive claimed first place at the end of the day.

The CAPS Charity Golf Day forms part of the wider CAPS events programme, which brings together professionals from across the construction and property sector to raise money for good causes across the Midlands.

Since its inception in 2007 CAPS has raised over £125,000 for charity.

John Tansur, Commercial Director at Blueprint Interiors, said:

“As always, we appreciate everyone's support, whether they have entered a team, sponsored the event, volunteered or donated! To raise this amount of money again is fantastic and reflects the efforts of the construction and property sector in the Midlands.

“This is the tenth golf day we have organised and the event is now the backbone of our fundraising efforts each year alongside our other events.”

David Ford of Gleeds added:

“It was good to see some new faces at this year’s event alongside our regular supporters. Over 60 businesses were represented across the 22 teams, giving everyone a great chance to catch up and network.”

Louisa Matthews, CEO of Nottingham Women’s Centre, said:

“We were truly overwhelmed by the generosity shown by everyone who took part in the CAPS Charity Golf Day. We are incredibly grateful to our supporters and friends at Gleeds, Blueprint Interiors and all the organisations that participated and helped make the event such a success.

“The day not only raised vital funds for Nottingham Women’s Centre but also gave us a fantastic opportunity to make new connections and strengthen our relationships with the construction sector as we plan an ambitious building renovation.

“Every single contribution will help make a meaningful difference to the lives of women across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for years to come.”

Special thanks go to HEXA, Willmott Dixon, Evans McDowall, Watermans, The Car Crowd, One For Nine, Kier Construction, YMD Boon, The Business Fixer, 200 Degrees Coffee and Posh Nosh for their support.
