Two New Senior Appointments at Lincoln City FC
Lincoln City FC have strengthened their senior leadership team with the appointments of Bobby Copping as Chief Commercial Officer and Dan Seaborne as Chief Operating Officer.
The appointments recognise the contributions both have made since joining the Imps and provide continuity as the club continues to develop its operations off the pitch.
Bobby Copping joined the club as Head of Commercial in July 2025 and has played an important role in the significant progress made away from the pitch over the past year. This included leading on the agreement of a landmark 10-year stadium naming rights for the ProAmpac Stadium.
He will oversee partnerships, marketing and communications, digital, ticketing, retail and fan engagement, bringing the club’s key commercial and supporter-facing functions together under his leadership.
A former professional footballer, Bobby graduated through the academies at Norwich City and Bury before joining Peterborough United. A head injury forced him to retire from playing at the age of 19, after which he embarked on a successful career on the commercial side of football.
He has continued to develop his business and commercial expertise through a range of industry qualifications. He holds an MBA in Football Business & Management from the Sports Business Institute of Barcelona and an MSc in Sports Directorship from VSI Executive Education. He is also currently completing a Level 6 Diploma in Chartered Sales Professionalism with the Institute of Sales Professionals.
Dan Seaborne, who joined the club in November 2025 as Chief Operations Officer, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Having been part of the team which has delivered the impressive stadium upgrades this summer, he will now oversee the club’s operations and safety functions alongside hospitality and events.
He also brings extensive experience from professional football, having enjoyed a 13-year playing career which included spells with Southampton, Charlton Athletic, Bournemouth, Coventry City and Exeter City.
Dan has significant experience within the hospitality industry. At the age of 28 he took over the running of an underperforming hospitality venue and oversaw a successful turnaround, developing it into one of the strongest-performing sites nationally from an EBITDA perspective.
Both appointments form part of Lincoln City’s commitment to recruiting and developing best-in-class talent throughout the organisation, while strengthening the club’s leadership with people who combine specialist expertise with strong football and business backgrounds.
