Luxury Glamping Destination Takes Shape at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park
Team Lincolnshire Ambassador Stirlin has completed enabling and infrastructure works at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park in partnership with client Torksey Caravans.
Located on the banks of the River Maun in the heart of Robin Hood country, Sherwood Forest Holiday Park is a peaceful camping and touring destination renowned for its stunning natural surroundings, wildlife and high-quality visitor experience.
Appointed as main contractor, Stirlin has delivered the key infrastructure package required for the installation of 22 glamping pods, supporting the expansion of the park's accommodation offering.
This includes extensive groundworks, drainage and service connections, a new access road, infrastructure for the installation of the glamping pods, EV charging facilities, an attenuation pond and associated landscaping works designed to complement the park's beautiful natural environment.
The project was delivered in collaboration with key stakeholders including Torksey Caravans as client and contractor, Brook Civils and Ulyett Landscapes.
Caroline Parkes, Director at Torksey Caravans, commented:
“We are absolutely delighted with the work Stirlin has delivered. Having worked with the team previously, we had every confidence in their ability to deliver, and once again they have exceeded our expectations.
“Throughout the project, communication has been excellent and the works have been completed to a high standard, on programme and within budget. It's been a pleasure working with Stirlin, and their professionalism and commitment have helped make this an incredibly smooth process from start to finish.
“The completion of these works marks a major milestone for the park. We are now looking forward to the installation of the 22 contemporary glamping pods and welcoming our first guests very soon as we continue to expand and enhance the visitor experience at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park.”
James Kirby, owner of Stirlin, added:
"We're delighted to have completed this exciting project for Caroline and the team at Torksey Caravans. Following our previous work together at Parkes Way, Leafbridge, it has been fantastic to continue our relationship on another high-quality development.
“This project demonstrates Stirlin's expertise in delivering complex infrastructure and enabling works, creating the foundations for exciting future developments. We're proud to have delivered the project on programme and to the high standards expected by our client, and we look forward to seeing the new glamping pods installed.”
The development further strengthens Stirlin's growing portfolio of infrastructure projects across the Midlands and reinforces its reputation for delivering high-quality construction solutions.
