BTG Eddisons is celebrating the success of two projects in the Lincolnshire Construction and Property Awards on which its multi-disciplinary building consultancy team provided a range of services.

Lincolnshire Co-op, Lindum Group and Framework Architects won the Retrofit & Regeneration Project of the Year for the transformation of the former Barbican Hotel on St Mary’s Street in Lincoln.

BTG Eddisons acted as project manager, quantity surveyor and principal designer working for Lincolnshire Co-op as its client. The former hotel has now become the University of Lincoln’s Barbican Creative Hub, promoting arts and culture in the city and providing a focus for creative industries.

A project to develop and build a new cinema complex in the heart of Gainsborough’s historic town centre was highly commended by the Awards judges too.

BTG Eddisons provided acquisitions advice, managed the construction process, provided employer’s agent and quantity surveying services, and played principal designer role to client Savoy Cinemas

The awards were organised by the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and held at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive Officer of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, said:

“These awards not only recognise the standout individuals and teams who have delivered exceptional work in their fields, but also underscore the ongoing progress, innovation and forward momentum shaping the construction and property sectors in Greater Lincolnshire.”
