Fenner Precision Polymers Achieves AS9100 Accreditation
Fenner Precision Polymers has achieved AS9100 accreditation for aerospace and defence manufacturing activities conducted on its Lincoln site.
Encompassing products across both the Fenner Air & Fluid Handling & High-Tech Coated Fabrics products families, this achievement marks a significant advancement in the company’s commitment to delivering highly controlled, reliable and compliant manufacturing solutions.
Achieving AS9100 certification places Fenner Precision Polymers among an elite group of manufacturers who demonstrate exceptional quality management across every level of operations.
Fenner can confidently offer the assurance that every aerospace and defence product manufactured by the company meets stringent international standards for safety, reliability, and traceability.
The rigorous audit, conducted across nine days in both virtual and on‑site phases, evaluated every function connected to production, including sales, operations, supply chain, and marketing.
The auditors highlighted the positivity, commitment, and openness of the company’s process owners, who embraced the challenge of meeting elevated quality standards and demonstrated a strong culture of continuous improvement.
Laurence Merrick, Quality Manager at Fenner Precision Polymers, said:
“Our customers trust us with components that must perform flawlessly in the most demanding environments. AS9100 pushes us to operate with even greater precision. Every process is clearly defined, every activity is controlled, and every product that leaves our facility can be trusted at the highest level.”
Under the new accreditation, the manufacture of ducting (under the James Dawson brand) and specialised polymer products including coated fabrics and textiles (under the Critical Thermal Composites brand), storage and despatch of finished products for aerospace applications are now fully certified.
All other Fenner Precision Polymers product lines continue to operate under the company’s established ISO 9001 certification.
This dual‑standard approach ensures rigorous governance in aerospace and defence operations while maintaining strong quality management across the wider business.
