Shooting Star’s Chippy Quiz Raises £1,700 for Charity
Team Lincolnshire Ambassadors enjoyed a fun evening of fish, chips and a quiz on 24th November and helped to raise almost £1,700 for a Lincolnshire charity.
Shooting Star’s annual Chippy Quiz at The Elite Fish & Chip Company on Tritton Road, Lincoln raised a fantastic £1,694.68 for Thistles Market Garden, the marketing agency’s Charity of the Year for 2025.
More than 70 people, including representatives from Wright Vigar, Team Lincolnshire and Make An Entrance, took part in a lively night of brain-teasing trivia, brilliant company and top-notch fish and chips.
They money raised will go to support Thistles Market Garden near Boston, a charity that offers experiences and opportunities in horticulture to people with a disability.
There was also a popular raffle offering 20 prizes generously donated by local businesses.
This year The Cod Squad took first prize, proudly taking home the Chippy Quiz trophy crafted by event sponsor Micrometric, while the prize for the best team name went to Chips Don’t Lie.
Since it was first launched in 2013 the Chippy Quiz has become a much loved annual event, raising over £13,000 for local charities.
