CorrBoard Donates to Homeless Charity

CorrBoard UK, the sheet-feeding specialist based in Scunthorpe, has donated to The Forge Project, a charity supporting those who are rough sleeping, homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The funds from CorrBoard will be used to support The Forge Project, which offers breakfast, hot drinks, lunch, shower and laundry facilities, clean clothing and sleeping bags.
Open seven days a week, the charity also signposts people to housing support and other agencies.
CorrBoard has also provided free cardboard to the charity, which will be used during the arts and crafts session that takes place on Tuesday afternoons at the venue on Cottage Beck Road in Scunthorpe.
Head of HR for CorrBoard, Amanda Slinn, said:
“We hope that the support that we are offering to The Forge Project will make a difference to those who need it the most. While we know that money is important, we also see the benefit in offering free resources, certainly when budgets are tight.
“Offering cardboard to be used during the arts and crafts sessions on a Tuesday should remove some of the burden for the charity, meaning its funds can be used where they will have most impact.
“We very much hope that our contribution will make a difference.”
The Manager of The Forge Project, Andrea Houghton, said:
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank CorrBoard for their donations. It’s thanks to support like this from local businesses that we can deliver our services all year round.
“By thinking slightly differently and looking at the resource they can offer, there’s one less thing that we have to purchase for our arts and crafts sessions, which our service users really enjoy.
“While times continue to be tough, all contributions really help us here at The Forge Project.”
