Team Lincolnshire ambassador Gelder Group is proud to announce that they have once again been recognised for their commitment to developing young talent.

Receiving the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award (PRTA) for the third time, previously honoured in 2018 and 2022, this year’s award marks another milestone in their ongoing investment in apprenticeships and skills development.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary – and coinciding with HRH The Princess Royal’s 75th birthday – the awards recognise just 57 organisations across the UK for their outstanding dedication to training and development.

Through close collaboration with fellow ambassador Lincoln College, Gelder Group provides apprentices in areas such as surveying, bricklaying, joinery, and administration with high-quality training, mentoring, and clear progression opportunities. With a 95% apprentice retention rate, their programme is helping to bridge industry skills gaps and support future talent.

Training Coordinator Katie Scott said:

"We have proudly welcomed 14 new apprentices into Gelder Group this September. This forms part of our long-term vision to invest in people and create opportunities across every area of the business. Apprenticeships are at the heart of our culture, and we remain committed to supporting the next generation to develop their skills, gain valuable experience, and build lasting careers with us.

"Bringing in so many new starters this year is something we are incredibly proud of, and it reflects our ongoing commitment to training, mentoring, and growing talent across the company."

Chief Executive Officer Steve Gelder said:

"We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award again. It reflects the importance we place on apprenticeships and the long-term benefits they bring to our business, our people, and the wider construction industry."

The formal awards ceremony will take place in London on December 2, where winners will celebrate their achievements and share their innovative approaches to training.
