Apogee Corporation raises £2,800 for British Heart Foundation

Over the past two months Apogee Corporation employees have walked, run, cycled and fundraised in support of the British Heart Foundation.
The top participants covered impressive distances: the leading runner clocked up 872.98km and the top cyclist covered 1,542.70km.
It was part of an Active Challenge and Easter Prize Draw which raised over £2,800 for the British Heart Foundation and promoted the importance of healthy living to Apogee’s employees.
The funds raised will help make a real difference to the British Heart Foundation’s ground-breaking research into new treatments and cures for heart and circulatory diseases.
The Apogee Adventure challenge invited employees to track their physical activity over two months using the fitness app Strava. As well as fundraising for a fantastic cause, the challenge also promoted wellbeing across Apogee by encouraging employees to take active breaks throughout the day, supporting both physical and mental health across the organisation.
BHF also hosted several CPR training sessions for employees to learn how they could potentially help in real-life scenarios.
“The British Heart Foundation does incredible work researching cures and treatments for heart and circulatory diseases, so I’m delighted with the amount we have raised for this cause and would like to thank everyone who participated in the challenge or donated,” said Dom Gryszan, Director of Marketing at Apogee.
“These fundraisers also provide the opportunity to reflect on the importance of wellbeing – something we’re very proud to support at Apogee.”
Lauren Hearnden, Fundraising Manager at the British Heart Foundation, said:
“On behalf of the British Heart Foundation, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at Apogee Corporation for their fantastic efforts during Heart Month.
“Their dedication to running, walking, and cycling countless miles to raise vital funds for our cause is truly inspiring.
“Heart and circulatory diseases affect millions of people in the UK, and the funds they have raised will play a crucial role in supporting our life-saving research, improving treatments, and preventing heart-related illnesses.
“Thank you Apogee for the support and for going the extra mile to make a difference!”
