Apogee Corporation Raises £4,300 for Dementia UK

Apogee Corporation’s 2024 Christmas Advent calendar raised £4,300 for Dementia UK. This will help the charity provide support to families affected by dementia, ensuring access to essential services.
The funds will support Dementia UK’s work, including the provision of support from Admiral Nurses, who offer practical and emotional assistance to patients and their families. The money raised will cover a year of professional development for an Admiral Nurse, helping to maintain their expertise in dementia care.
Demi Bevis-Roadnight, Regional Fundraiser at Dementia UK, said:
“We are so grateful to Apogee for organising this fundraiser for Dementia UK. One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime - either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both. It can be exhausting and overwhelming, not only for the person with dementia, but also for the people caring for them, and their wider family and friends.
Thanks to the hard work of our amazing fundraisers like Apogee, more families than ever will be able to access the life-changing support offered by our Admiral Nurses.”
The raffle featured prizes donated by Apogee’s partners and suppliers, included an Amazon tablet, a Poly headset, and a £150 M&S voucher.
Dom Gryszan, Director of Marketing at Apogee, commented:
“We were delighted to support Dementia UK this year and raise vital funds for such an important cause. Dementia is a condition that touches so many lives, and knowing that our contributions will help Admiral Nurses continue their incredible work is immensely rewarding.”
The Christmas charity Advent calendar has been a company tradition since 2018, and will return in December 2025 as part of Apogee’s commitment to driving a wide range of fundraising opportunities to positively impact charities and organisations.
In line with Apogee’s fundraising efforts and drive to support local communities, Apogee employees also visited children’s wards across five NHS Trusts during the festive period to deliver Christmas gifts, and supported Royal British Legion Industries’ Rudolph Fun Run.
