Employees of Team Lincolnshire Ambassador Apogee Corporation raised £3,179 for Cancer Research UK in December 2023, as part of the company’s annual Christmas Charity Advent Calendar initiative.

The funds raised will help to support Cancer Research UK’s goal of bringing about a world where everyone lives longer and better lives, free from the fear of cancer.

Employees were invited to vote for the 2023 Advent Calendar chosen charity - ensuring that the initiative supported an organisation that aligns with Apogee’s core values, while allowing employees to have their say on the causes that matter most to them.

Marion Brooks, Chief People Officer at Apogee, said:

“The Apogee Christmas Charity Advent Calendar is a fantastic opportunity for us to give back and support such a worthy cause. The Advent Calendar also creates a bit of excitement in the lead-up to the Christmas break for our employees.”

To take part in the Advent Calendar initiative, employees were invited to purchase raffle tickets to be in with a chance of winning from an assortment of amazing prizes, generously donated by Apogee’s partners and suppliers.

Prizes ranged from gift vouchers and hampers to gadgets and appliances – as well as a Champagne dinner for two at The Ivy Collection.

Over 220 Apogee employees participated in the initiative, with winners announced every day from 1st to 24th December 2023.

“We are so grateful to our partners and suppliers for donating prizes for the Advent Calendar, and of course every single person who helped us to raise funds for Cancer Research UK,” continued Marion.

The Christmas Charity Advent Calendar has been a company tradition since 2018 and will return in December 2024 as part of Apogee’s commitment to driving a wide range of fundraising opportunities to positively impact charities and organisations.

In line with Apogee’s fundraising efforts and drive to support local communities, Apogee employees also visited children’s wards at four major NHS trusts during the festive period to deliver Christmas gifts.
