Chester Completes Four-Year Apprenticeship with CorrBoard UK

Chester White (21) is buzzing after he secured a distinction following a four-year NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering apprenticeship and Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) qualification.
Completing the apprenticeship scheme with Team Lincolnshire Ambassador CorrBoard, the independent sheet-feeding specialist based in Scunthorpe, Chester has now been made a full-time member of the team and is keen to show his support to the next cohort of apprentices to join the business.
Chester comments: “After leaving school I tried A-levels, but they weren’t for me. I craved practical skills and more hands-on work. When I saw the apprenticeship scheme at CorrBoard it ticked all of the boxes: working with experts, building practical skills, securing qualifications and a paid work placement.
“The apprenticeship was right for me and passing with a distinction after four years of hard work is just brilliant. I’ve had great support from my mentors and the wider team at CorrBoard and am pleased to be in a position where I can now do the same for others.”
Managing Director of CorrBoard Rob Burgin comments: “We are all so proud of Chester. He is a great example of the talent that we have at the business. Not only has he applied himself throughout the apprenticeship, but he has also shown that with the right attitude, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
“As a company, we are a huge advocate of apprenticeship schemes and are looking to secure our next cohort over the coming months. We would urge anyone that may be interested to contact us direct.
“It’s a great way to secure professional qualifications and to gain access to a structured and progressive career. If anyone can be used as evidence of this working in practice, it’s Chester.”
CorrBoard is a privately owned, independent sheet feeder. The business was founded in 2013 and manufactures corrugated cardboard from a purpose-built facility in Scunthorpe.
