Simons Design Ltd Joins the Team Lincolnshire Ambassador Programme
Simons Design are a RIBA Chartered Architects Practice which is now part of the Carpenter Investments Group.
Below they give us an introduction to the company and an insight into some of the projects they are involved with within our region.
Simons Design Ltd are based in Lincoln and work in various sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Retail & Leisure to name just a few. Being involved in some of the countries iconic projects such as the 2012 Olympic Drug Testing facility and the Elipta building for GSK is a result of the hard work of our dedicated team of architects and technicians. We have a strong reputation for delivering a high quality service and we aim to exceed our clients expectations, building strong client relationships.
Although Simons Design has worked on prestigious projects around the country, we always love to work on jobs in our Home County. One of these was the iconic Odeon Cinema on the Brayford waterfront. It is the focal point of the regenerated waterfront marina and was built at the same time as the University of Lincoln.
We were also involved with the regeneration of the St Marks area of Lincoln, creating a modern shopping space whilst respecting the iconic infrastructure of the original St Marks railway station first opened in 1846.
Further afield from our home town of Lincoln, we were asked to be the BREEAM Assessor on the shopping centre development in North Lincolnshire which achieved a “very good” rating, with the Boots store receiving an “excellent “ rating, led by their design architect which was also Simons Design.
