Upskill Your Workforce Through LAGAT

These services include NVQs and short courses, apprenticeship recruitment and delivery, plus varied programmes of support for the unemployed. 

Since its inception in 1987, LAGAT’s services have been developed and tailored to meet the needs of businesses, schools and third-sectors organisations. At present, the team offers:  

• Apprenticeships (to new recruits and existing staff) in business administration, digital marketing, customer services, AAT, childcare, catering and hospitality, HR, team leading, learning mentor and teaching assistant pre-apprenticeships to provide work experience, and mathematics and English courses to hone those vital employability skills.  

• Funded and non-funded training for employed staff including NVQs, WorldHost training, leadership and management, AAT and HR.  

• Support for the unemployed through a range of courses and programmes. 

LAGAT’s services and courses are available throughout Greater Lincolnshire; apprenticeships are open to all ages and pre-apprenticeships are on offer to those aged between 16 to 24. Businesses of all sizes and sectors can access training for their staff, which offers individuals the chance to upskill in their chosen fields or learn extra skills to boost their CVs and employability. Courses for the unemployed are also available to those aged 19 and over. 

There’s no need to wait to take the next step in your career or education journey - the college enrols throughout the year on all courses, so every day is an opportunity! Apprenticeships are fully funded for those aged 16 to 18, and there is a 5% contribution for those aged 19 and over. Courses for the unemployed are fully funded, and business courses are fully funded if the organisation taking part consists of fewer than 250 staff.
