Planning and development consultancy Globe Consultants celebrates appointment of Chartered Town Planner

Lincoln-based planning and development consultancy and Team Lincolnshire ambassador, Globe Consultants, have promoted Oliver Clawson to the role of Principal Consultant.

The promotion involves widening Oliver's portfolio to include some of Globe’s most complex projects for a range of public and private sector clients and follows recent confirmation of Oliver’s election as a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Oliver’s election to Chartered Member status brings Globe’s team of Chartered Town Planners to four.

Oliver began his career with Globe Consultants in 2018 as a Graduate Planning Consultant, going on achieve distinction in a master’s degree in Urban Planning while establishing himself as a key part of the team. He gained the title of Planning Consultant in 2019 and has gone on to build significant experience across a broad range of projects and clients.

The award of Chartered Town Planner status by the Royal Town Planning Institute is the industry standard hallmark of expertise and integrity in the profession, and the Directors at Globe were pleased to see the professionalism and excellent work produced by Oliver recognised by the RTPI though his election as a Chartered Member.

It has been a positive start to 2022 for Globe Consultants as they celebrated the new year with a hattrick of planning approvals.

The first saw the detailed approval of 155 new homes associated with the exciting new marina development at Cherry Willingham, which is currently underway.

Full planning permission has also been obtained for a series of alterations to a former stable block located in the grounds of the Grade II Listed Fulbeck Manor to allow the building to be utilised as a flexible workshop, studio and retail space associated with the flourishing Manor Stables Craft Centre. The Craft Centre provides local craftspeople with high-quality and affordable spaces in which they can create and sell a variety of hand-made craft goods – ranging from interior decorations and artists through to chocolatiers – local to where they reside.

To round off permissions, Globe was delighted to receive approval for a mixed-use development consisting of just over 3,500 square metres’ worth of industrial units and office space (and associated access and landscaping works) on a formerly developed brownfield plot close to Lincoln city centre.
