Team Lincolnshire ambassadors Lincolnshire County Council along with colleagues from the Greater Lincolnshire LEP will be exhibiting at FPC Future.

Team Lincolnshire ambassadors Lincolnshire County Council along with colleagues from the Greater Lincolnshire LEP will be exhibiting at FPC Future at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground on 4th November. This event is co-located with FPC Careers, a specialist careers fair for the industry and related sectors which include foodservice, import, retail, logistics and wholesale.

FPC Future is the agri-tech event for the fresh produce and flower industry and houses an exhibition, conference, working displays and tours of the university’s specialist facilities at its Riseholme Campus. The conference programme is extensive, covering pre- and post-farm robotics and automation, data-driven technologies, plastics and packaging, supply chain waste, carbon supply chains, vertical farming and sustainability.

Martin Collison, Director at Collison & Associates and the LEP's Agrifood Specialist, explains: “Greater Lincolnshire is delighted to be hosting FPC Future and FPC Careers at a critical time for the fresh produce industry. Whilst seeing strong demand growth in the fresh produce sector, the industry needs to embrace new technology and attract new workers to continue to fuel this growth.

“The two FPC events will feature the latest technology from the region, UK and internationally as well as inspirational presentations on future opportunities and is a must-visit event. Greater Lincolnshire has been at the forefront of tackling technology development for the industry, notably through automation to increase labour efficiency and supply chain efficiency and Team Lincolnshire look forward to seeing you there.”

Greater Lincolnshire is at the heart of the UK’s £234 billion agrifood sector, presenting unique investment opportunities for businesses seeking to profit from the industry’s transformation and growth.

One of our most exciting projects to date which is set to propel Greater Lincolnshire as a global leader in agri-tech is the South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone (FEZ). This innovative space aims to create bespoke, high-quality business space for new businesses and SMEs, specifically in the agri-tech sector.

Delegates at the conference will be able to discover more about the unique opportunities the FEZ can offer businesses within the food sector, as well as the wealth of additional opportunities available across our region, now positioned as the UK Food Valley.
