This presentation is designed to help SMEs navigate GCA's procurement ecosystem, identifying actionable steps to find and win government and wider public sector contracts

  Change rarely arrives neatly or on schedule. It can test confidence, challenge assumptions and ask leaders to make decisions when the way ahead is far from clear. Drawing on her lived experience as Britain’s first female fast-jet pilot, Dr Jo Salter MBE shares what she has learned about resilience, leadership and performance when the pressure is real. From flying Tornado jets in a fast-moving environment to working with organisations facing major change, Jo brings stories, insight and perspective from moments where adaptability, trust and clear thinking mattered.
  With warmth, humour and honesty, Jo explores how leaders can respond to uncertainty, bring people with them and keep moving forward with confidence. Leading Through Turbulence is an engaging and uplifting keynote about what becomes possible when we meet change with courage, curiosity and belief in ourselves and those around us.

Stuart Watkins, Strategic Business Manager, Government Procurement Agency

Stuart Watkins is a senior strategic business manager supporting ambitious Mayoral Combined Authorities across the North of England and the Midlands. He specialises in aligning GCA's commercial solutions and support services with public sector procurement strategies and place-based spatial development goals.
