We are pleased to partner with the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence & Security Cluster & the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre to deliver our next industry insight event focusing on defence.

The Police owned Cyber Resilience Centre for the East Midlands provides support to SMEs and third-sector organisations in the Region. The CRC offers fully funded technical services, guidance, and signposting to trusted government tools and resources. Its aim is to help make organisations more cyber resilient and, in doing so, better protect them, their customers and suppliers.

This event provides an overview of digital security, covering current threats, leadership strategies, and the role of industry standards.

Daniel Westwood, Cyber Protect and Prevent Officer from Lincolnshire Police Cyber Crime team, outlines the cyber risks facing businesses today and the common methods used in digital attacks.

Colin Ellis, Director of the Police Cyber Resilience Centre discusses practical steps for leaders, management of risk and the assistance available through the Cyber Resilience Centre.
12pm Industry Standards: The Benefits of Implementation.
Nicholas Stenner, Senior Cyber Security Consultant Leonardo - explains the impact of adopting cybersecurity standards and how these frameworks support business resilience and credibility.

Nicolas Stenner 50x50

Nicholas Stenner is a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at Leonardo, specialising in GRC, cyber threat intelligence, and the assurance of complex defence systems. He leads risk assessments, policy development, incident response, and Security‑by‑Design integration across Electronic Warfare capabilities, ensuring alignment with MOD, NCSC and NATO standards.

Previously, Nicholas served as a Regional Cyber Engagement Sergeant within the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, coordinating ransomware responses, national NCA/NPCC cyber‑safeguarding initiatives, and delivery of the UK’s first policing Cyber Prepare strategy. He is an experienced OSINT and dark‑web practitioner and part of the team awarded Cyber Policing Team of the Year 2023.

He brings over a decade of prior service with Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Police, specialising in complex investigations, safeguarding, covert intelligence, and community resilience experience that now underpins his work securing defence and national‑security programmes.
