The University of Lincoln is proud to be both of and for Lincolnshire. Created by the people of the county, we are as much the University for Lincoln as the University of Lincoln - rooted in our place and committed to enabling a prosperous, sustainable, and thriving region.

As one of the UK’s leading modern universities, our mission is to be a transformative institution that works hand-in-hand with partners to deliver impact across skills, research, innovation, and civic life. We combine a global outlook with a strong local focus, embedding our expertise in the challenges and opportunities that matter most for Greater Lincolnshire, from health inequalities in rural and coastal communities, to the future of food and farming, clean growth, defence, and security.

We play a key role in the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence & Security Cluster, with the Lincoln Institute for Rural and Coastal Health (LIRCH), and the West Burton STEP fusion energy project. In 2023, our Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize for global leadership in agri-food innovation.

As proud members of Team Lincolnshire, we work with businesses, councils, and communities to champion Lincolnshire as a place to invest, learn, and thrive.
