Rutland County Council is the unitary authority responsible for local government in the historic county of Rutland.
Rutland is England’s smallest county. It is renowned for its beautiful countryside and villages as well as Rutland Water; Europe’s largest man-made lake. Home to approximately 2000 businesses; key sectors include tourism, hospitality and education.
There are 52 settlements across Rutland including the market towns of Uppingham and Oakham. These towns offer a wide range of independent retailers and businesses as well as high performing schools.
At this time of unprecedented economic upheaval the Council’s Economic Development team is keen to engage with Team Lincolnshire. We see benefit in business and local government working together in a concerted effort to support our existing businesses, to engage in a dialogue to shape the strategic and industrial strategies and to promote Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland as a great location for investors.
