Chantry Dance is a Theatrical Contemporary Ballet founded in May 2012 by co-Artistic Directors Paul Chantry and Rae Piper who, as well as their contemporary dance choreography, are known for their work on operas, musicals and the Olivier-nominated production of David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny, Billionaire Boy, and the Horrible Histories stage shows.

Chantry Dance specialises in producing touring narrative contemporary ballets which are either original stories or innovative re-imaginings of well-known tales. Alongside Chantry’s professional performance work, the company also has very active outreach/particpation and talent development departments, which focus on bringing dance opportunities to young people and those who have restricted access to the arts.

Chantry Dance has joined Team Lincolnshire with a view to connecting, collaborating, and supporting other Lincolnshire-based organisations, and exploring how art and culture can interact in a positive and meaningful way with business.
